15 hour layover at pudong airport

Question

Hi I land from Canada via China Eastern Airlines at 19:00 and would like to visit the city centre. 1) What are my options to coming back to the airport around 00:00 since the last Maglev to Pudong is 21:40?2) My final destination is Tokyo. Do I need to claim my bags or will they be transferred?Thanks!

As I know, no bus or metro is available at that time, so you need to take a taxi back.As for Q2, you don’t need to claim your luggage and they will be transferred to your destination.
