Brussels to Hong Kong and return with both layovers in Shanghai Pudong (Indian Passport)

Hey, I have a ticket with Juneyao Airlines (all four flights same airline) from Brussels to HKG with a 2.5 hour layover in Shanghai both coming and going (pretty much the same duration of layover in both instances.) The ticket is on one single PNR number and I do not (obviously) plan to leave the airport. I can safely transit in PVG without needing to go through immigration right?

Also, another question is what if the airport here in Brussels simply does not know the TWOV rule exists? They could see an Indian passport going to China and deny me boarding. I say this because my friend with an Azerbaijan passport here was denied boarding at the check-in counter (although he had two different PNR numbers with different airlines, going to Seoul with a layover in Beijing, and was also given compensation months later, the fact that he wasn't allowed to board remains, what makes it even more wrong is that his passport allows him to legally enter China for 30 days.) What if this happens to me? What can I do beforehand to avoid this? (For example print the TWOV policy or something more.) Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can transit at PVG safely without going through the immigration and you don't need to worry about it as China's 24h TWOV is widely known by international airports. Maybe your Azerbajian friend had a problem with the visa to South Korea?
