About:Guangzhou to Hong Kong Train

I want to go to Guangzhou from Hong Kong by train for a few days.

I need to apply for a Chinese Visa, which requires an itinerary showing how I enter and leave the country (quote: round trip air ticket).
Is a rail ticket valid as well?
If I book a ticket over your website, do you provide some kind of document showing which train I am taking to Guangzhou and back to HK?

I think the rail ticket would also work as long as it shows when and how will you enter and out of China mainland. You can ask for an invoice with name and itinerary. I asked for it for my reimbursement.
