About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

Hi, I have a 20 hour layover in Shanghai Pudong Airport.

I have a connecting flight from Bangkok to PVG then USA. In PVG, do I recheck my luggage or is it automatically transfer to my connecting flight? Same airline.

Well, if your both flights are China Eastern Airline, you don't need to collect the luggage at PVG.
The processes are are Through Checked-in Passenger After Arrival - Confirm Onward Boarding Pass - Check in - Quarantine - Immigration - Security Check - International Concourse - Boarding.
If not, you are advised to consult the airline.
