can i purchase the transportation card at any metro station at shanghai?

Like East Nanjing Road Station or People's Square Station?The deposit and refund can be claim at airport  as i will be reaching airport early in the morning around 7am

Yes, you can buy the local transportation card in almost every metro station. And you can get the refund and deposit at PVG. As I know, the service hours are according to the running time of metro. Hope helpful!
