About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do I qualify for 72 hour visa free stay?

Will be arriving in Tianjin via cruise ship on April 26, staying in hotel overnight with intention of taking a tour. Returning to USA via air through Beijing airport.

Will the 72 hour option work and what do I need to do or who to notify regarding travel plans

Kathleen, no, you are not eligible for the 72 hour free transit because the 72 hour policy is only applicable to flight travelers, and you are only allowed to transit in one Chinese city.
