No, unfortunately, your itinerary is not eligible for 240 hour visa free transit. The basic rule of 240 hour visa free transit requires that the immediate points before and after mainland China are located in two different countries or eligible territories (eligible territories are Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau). As you can see, you have your both immediate points in just one country - South Korea.
In order to make your itinerary eligible, you should insert another country or eligible territory within your itinerary. In your case inserting nearby Japan would be ideal:
US - South Korea - Japan - China - South Korea - US
As you can see, your possible new itinerary has its immediate points, before and after mainland China in two different countries, Japan and South Korea. Instead of Japan you can use Taiwan, for example. Hope you will be able to insert this correction into your itinerary in order to make you eligible for 240 hour visa free transit.
