About:China Visa

I am taking cruise from Hong Kong to Taipei and Shanghai to Japan. what king of visa I need ?

So the cruise will depart from HK, and then to Taipei, Shanghai, and Japan? If so and the transit in Shanghai is not over 144 hours, you are eligible for the 144h free transit policy.
