About:Transfer in T3 of Beijing Capital Airport

I have an 8 hour layover in Beijing Capital Airport (Terminal 3 arrival and departure).

If I book into the airport hourly hotel, do I still need to go through passport control?
Would it be feasible to go to one of the airport hotels outside the terminal or is there not enough time?

Jacqui, since you transit at PEK, you need to take the immigration check at the airport.
You can certainly check in the hourly hotel in the airport. You can find the hotel in the west of public space in Arrival Lounge at 2nd Floor of T3-C or in the east of International Departure Lounge of T3-E.
