I'm Malaysian holding Malaysia passport. I plan to visit Xi'an about 5-6 days. The plan is to travel from Malaysia to Xi'an and stay for 6 days with direct flight. Then fly back to Malaysia directly. Am I qualify for 72-hour Free transit?

Um, first of all Malaysians are not qualified for long-term TWOV. Second, your itinerary is not "transit" since transit involves a flight to a third country. Third, Xi'an only has 72-hour TWOV. So in conclusion, no, you do not.
