About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Cruise ship docking in Shanghai for a day.

Hi, do I have to have a full tourist visa for this stopover in Shanghai
Or can I avail myself of the 72 hour free transit?
Thanks Peter.

Peter, if you will enter and exit by the same cruise ship, I’m afraid you cannot enjoy the free transit there and you need to apply for a tourist L type for that. You are advised to contact with the cruise company and confirm that.
