I will travel along silk road for 10 days starting from 12 october. Any useful information?

The major thing you should pay attention to is the climate. A large stretch of the route is located in the vast desert in Gansu Province and Xinjiang. The climate difference of a day is quite large with the temperature swinging between 30F and 60F. You should really bring some sweaters and jackets with you. Before you traverse the desert, make sure you bring enough water and food.2
