I am on a cruise that stops in Xiamen, can I get off without a visa for the day?

If your layover time in China does not add up to 24 hours, you can enjoy the 24-hour direct transit policy, so that the entry permit is not required. You need to get a stay permit when getting off the ship at the immigration counter.
