Xiamen -do I need Visa?

Hi!
I am travelling to Tokyo in September with my wife. We both have Croatian passports. Flight goes from Amsterdam to Xiamen and then after 4-6h from Xiamen to Tokyo. Same thing for the return flight after 2 weeks. Do we need an entry permit for Xiamen? Thank You!
