About:Chinese Embassy in Bulgaria

transit visa for micronesian citizen from there to Guam

we are traveling round trip from micronesia to US and on the return flight it has a stop in China, i was informed i need a transit visa to leave the airport and travel to next destination of Guam. how do i go about getting this, the airport won't even let someone board a plane without it already in hand

Becky, may I know how long your layover time is in PRC? Actually, if it is less than 24 hours, you can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit and so no entry permit is required.
If it’s over 24 hours, you should apply for a transit G type in advance of your trip. The first step is to prepare the required documents containing the application form attached with a recently-taken passport-sized color photo, your passport and copy of its data page, and the onward air ticket. And then submit the application to the embassy of PRC to apply for transit G type.
