About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Different airlines for 72 hours visa free transit?

If I am arriving from the Philippines in the morning on one airline, and have a ticket to leave on another airline (part of a separate ticket purchase) within 72 hours, is this still allowed?

If you don't fly back to Philippines again and stop by any other Chinese cities, then you can make use of 72 hours free transit.
