Transit visa at Guangzhou for Nigerians

My family will transit in Guangzhou for 16 hours from Los Angeles on our way to Singapore. We have Seats in China Southern Airline. We carry Nigeria passports. Do we need transit G type entry permit from China embassy before we depart?

No, you don't need it. What's more, you are allowed to go out of the airport as long as you apply for temporary stay permit at the airport.
