Visit Xiamem

Hi, do I still need a visa to Xiamen to make a surprise visit for my girlfriend for 3 days this coming holiday season? If yes, how and where can I apply for it or it is available upon arrival in Xiamen?

Rolando, yes, you need an entry permit and you should apply for it in advance of your trip from the embassy of PRC. First, prepare the required materials including the application form with a recent color photo glued, your passport and its photocopy, your travel itinerary, round trip air tickets and hotel reservations. If it’s the first time for you to apply for it, you also need to provide financial support proof such as bank statement, tax bill or salary slip. Afterwards, submit the materials to the embassy and wait for the result.
