About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

I have nothing to do in China, but my chinese wife and baby can't be stuck here.

I did a bit of work in China, but changing careers, I can find nothing in PRC I am legally allowed to do. So I am moving back to USA. Unfortunately, my wife has no education, training or occupation, and my baby is due in 2 months.

I am trying to figure out how to get them a tourist visa to start the process of moving them to my country where I continue work and education. I do not want to leave them in PRC alone. I hear the process for applying for marriage visa is quite long, and I plan to do Masters work in the USA in a few months. I am not sure how to juggle this all. Do I apply for marriage entry permit and move back to America on my own leaving them to fend for themselves until the paperwork comes through?

I'm completely at odds, China is hideously expensive without family or a place to live. Do I just wait here and do nothing for a year losing money, while I wait for the paperwork to clear or do I just leave them to fend for themselves with little family or resources, it's also very hard to send money their way, though I think it's possible.

Brent, I think you should go back first and then help your wife and baby to apply for the US entry permit. You can work while they are doing the application so that you can send them money to support themselves.
