About:Marriage Registration in China

I'd like to bring my girlfriend from China to the U.S. so we can get married.

I already know what preparations are needed from the U.S. immigration side (fiancee visa, then petition for permanent resident), but I am wondering if she will need to do anything in China before coming over to the U.S. to get married. Is there any paperwork that needs to be done for the Chinese government?

Your girlfriend may need to get a single status certificate issued by the police station in her hometown and authenticated by the US embassy in China.
