About:Former Residence of Lu Shaoxu

My z visa got extended to so- called humanitarian type by 30 days and expires on 31st July.

I want to prolong my stay in China and do a Chinese course at a university in Beijing that starts in September. I'm at loss as what kind to apply for and where, or would it be possible to extend the humanitarian type somehow?

Anna, I'm afraid you cannot extend the humanitarian type now. You can try to apply for an X type before your allowed stay duration runs out. If you can get the X type successfully, you can continue to stay in China without any problem. If the office does not issue X type to you, you have to leave and apply for the X type outside China.
