About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I will be in Shanghai less than 72 hours. Am I Eligible to apply for the 72 hour visa?

I am travelling from Sydney to Shanghai on a return ticket and have a stop for 2 nights at Bangkok on the way to Shanghai. I also have a stop at Bangkok on my return.

Jane, you mean that your route will be like this: Sydney-Bangkok-Shanghai-Bangkok-Sydney? If yes, then I'm afraid this route is not eligible for the 72 hour free transit policy because you departed from Bankok to hanghai and then back to Bangkok.
