About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Taiwan - Chengdu - Hong Kong

Hello!
Is it possible to fly from Taiwan to Chengdu (spend max. 72 hrs) and then fly to Hong Kong as a US resident?
Does this transit Visa cost anything?
Thanks a lot!

Deun, generally speaking, your route satisfies for the criteria of the 72 hour free transit policy. However, sometimes the immigration officer may just think you are trying to avoid applying for the mainland entry permit. Therefore, you'd better check it with your airline before the trip. FYI, the policy costs nothing for everyone who use it.
