About:Chinese Consulate in New York

I have a group from a university in Ohio traveling to China in May and need to prepare the visas.

After collecting everybody's information, do I need to travel to the New York office to apply as a representative or are there options to submit through mail? Also, may I act as a representative or do all individuals need to personally go to the New York office?

Karen, I think you can submit the application for your group. They don't need to come. And there is no mail application service anymore. However, I think you may make a call to contact the consular department to confirm if there are any other documents or procedures before you go there.

Tel: 212-2449392
Opening hours of consular office: 09:00 to 14:30, Monday to Friday
