About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

USA --> Xian --> Hong Kong

Is it possible to get the visa to fly into Xian from USA, then within 72 hours go to Hong Kong?

What if we need to change flights in Beijing with a 4 hour layover (not leaving terminal)?

Ken, the 72 hour free transit policy is only applicable to the transit in one city. If you have to change planes at Beijing, you cannot make use of the policy.
