Hi Lorie, if you can provide the round way flight tickets and hotel booking records, you are not required to submit the invitation letter. Do you come to China for the first time? If so, you should also present financial standing proof or student certificate.

your length of stay is pretty long. the immigration will probably stop you for some questioning. and considering the money you have... well its big. but its better to bring dollars not the peso bills because you can never use them once you are there. and make sure you have your papers with you. the ones you used in applying. that way the immigration will have no way of stopping you.

yes it will be the first time. i will book a round flight from davao - hkg - davoa, and enter from the border between hk and china. i will book also my hotel in shenzhen for the stay there.
about financial standing proof, will it be enough to show them that i have cash in my hand or better to put the amount to my account to show them i have enough money? but u written proof of financial OR student certificate (means my student id)

if i got my visa, i dont think there will be any other problem at the immigration. but sure i gonna take some USD with me, that they have no reason to not let me in. but first of all the visa is important. what reason can they show me to not let me in, if i m still student in philipines, book round flight and hotel, got enough money, visa form, nbi-clearance, student id, should be helpfull also give some chinese friends names with their chinese id ? coz i have friends there too

You can either present your student ID or financial standing proof. That is, if the officer does not require, you can only submit the student ID. In case that financial standing proof is required, you should put the money into your account instead of having cash at your hand.
