About:Marco Polo Memorial Museum

February Vacation

I am planning a trip to China for 8 days in February 2026 - most likely the last 8 days - I plan on staying in Xi'an and doing day trips to Chengdu and Chongqing - will I need a visa?

You can take advantage of the 240h visa-free transit to avoid visa application. You can arrange your travel route like USA - China - the third country to apply for the 240 after arrival.

BTW, it's not possible to do day trips to Chengdu and Chongqing from Xi'an. You may stay in Xi'an for several days, then Chengdu. It's possible to do a day trip to Chongqing from Chengdu.
