About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Vacation in Shenzhen?

Hi, we are 4 people from Norway and Norwegian passports, and we are thinking about taking a vacation in Shenzhen. We would like to stay in Shenzhen for 6 days. Travel from Norway via Frankfurt and Beijing. Return the same way on day 7. Is this possible to do on the 240 visa?

Glenn, since you are all Norwegian citizens you have to be aware that you are allowed to enter China, Shenzhen included, absolutely visa free for a period of 30 days. In other words, your travel to/from China is quite similar to you as if you were traveling to UK, for example. You can enter to China, exit from China and stay and travel within China as you wish during those 30 days. In other words, you should not bother with 240 and similar stuff and just proceed with your travel plans with absolute peace of mind. Have a nice journey.
