I was wondering what the most desirable zodiac animals were?

I know that more children are born in China during the year of the Dragon, but are there any other animals that are equally craved?

Also, I heard something about certain years being a 'Golden' year - i.e., the year 2000 was the year of the Golden Dragon - but I can't find much information about this online. Can anyone enlighten me?
