do i need to make visa for hk also?

Question

I am an Indian Passport holder and studying in Japan...I will have to travel from Japan to Hong Kong with 2 hrs 15 mins waiting time at Shanghai. Do I have to make one for entering Shanghai? I will be staying in HK for 4 nights to attend the conference. Thanks in advance.

Dibya, you needn't apply for any type for your transit in Shanghai because you enjoy 24 hours free transit there. As for Hk, Indians enjoy 14 days visa free access. So you needn't apply one for HK.
