Xiamen to Hongkong

How do i get from Xiamen to Hong Kong? What kind of train and how long does it take?

There is no direct one from Xiamen to Hong Kong, you need to connect at Shenzhen. You can go to Shenzhen by rail first and then transfer to Lo Wu, Shenzhen and take the East rail line to Hong Kong directly. The trip would be around 8 hours in total.

Thanks for he reply.
Regarding on the transfer to Lo Wu Shenzhen what do u meant by that? i need to take transport eg. Taxi to go Lu Ho station. This is not within Shenzhen station itself?

This Lo Wu station is the station for Hong Kong east raill line. It is not together with the Shenzhen Railway station. But it is not far from the railway station. You can walk there, if you can not find it, ask the local people and they can help.
