About:Chinese Embassy in South Korea

I am an American visiting Seoul (on vacation for < 2 weeks), and I don't have an ARC Card?

can I still visit Shanghai? (I am thinking of booking a flight from Seoul to Shanghai for the weekend.) How do I go about getting entry into Shanghai while in Korea if not a resident of Korea?

If so, you may not be able to apply in Seoul. It is still suggested to consult some local tour agency to find whether they can provide help.

If you cannot apply in Seoul, you can try to apply in Japan or in HK. Many travelers do like that as I know.
