U.S citizen touring applying for visa in Korea

Hi,

I am a student currently studying abroad in Korea for only about six weeks. I want to go to mainland China (GuangZhou). Can I apply for L type mainland China in Korea? What are the documents that U.S passport holders need in order to do so?

According to the rules, you cannot apply that in Korea, because they ask for an alien registration card in South Korea (ARC) with at least 6 months remaining validity.
My suggestion is that you can apply in Japan or apply in HK.
