About:China Visa Application Procedure and Fee

I don't have onward flights as I'm travelling overland

I intend to travel out of China to Mongolia, then back to China and on to Central Asia all over land. Will I HAVE to provide onward flights to get my multiple entry visa? As I won't have any! How can I go around this?

Also any other information I will need to provide to apply?

Train tickets are also acceptable if you travel by land. Or a detailed travel itinerary if you travel with an agency. BTW, I have to say that it is difficult to get a multiple entry tourist L if you are visiting China for this first time.
