About:Summer Palace

Beijing Tourist attractions

hi im in the city to 5 days in august.

we are a group pf 4 and wanted to know what would be the best options and time durations to see the following:
great wall badalling, forbidden city, tiananmen square, summer palace, ming tombs, hutong, the nest, temple of heaven, world park and Beijing zoo.

if you can group this in a 2 or 3 close attractions that can be done in 1 day blocks id really appreciate it.

As you wanna visit so many attractions, it shall be best to join a tour and then you don't need worry about the transportation matters and routes!

Anyway, if you prefer to travel on your own, here is my general suggestion:
D1: Badaling Great Wall - Ming Tombs
You can take a direct train at BJ North Train Station (near Dongzhimen metro station) to Badaling in an hour and fifteenminutes! After that, take bus no. 879 to Changling or Dingling to visit the tombs or you can also take a taxi to get there!

D2: Temple of Heaven - Tiananmen Square - Forbidden City
local subway line 5 can take you to Tiantan Dongmen station, which is close to Temple of Heaven. After that, take line 5 to Dongdan and then transfer to line 1 to Tiananmen East to visit the square! After that, walk to Forbidden City for a visit!

D3: Bird Nest and Water Cube - BJ Zoo - Hutongs
D4: World Park - Summer Palace
D5: roam around Wangfujing and Qianmen for some shopping

As I am not clear where you are going to stay, it is a little hard to tell you more details! Hope the infor above help!
