About:Apply for China Visa in a Third Country

US resident and Canadian citizen applying outside of my state.

Hi, I am a Canadian citizen and a permanent resident of the US, currently residing in Florida. I will be traveling to Vancouver B.C. to visit family and friend in the upcoming week. I was wondering if I can go to the Chinese consulate in Vancouver and apply for a visa outside of state?

I am afraid not. You need to apply from Chinese consulate in Houston before leaving.
