About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Is the 72 hour rule strictly for 72 hours?

I am arriving in Shanghai on 17th April at 14:50 and leaving again on 21st April at 00:35, would it be possible to use the free transit visa for this (almost 82 hours between arriving and departing flights)?

Hi, as I know, the 72-hour limit is calculated by starting with 00:00 of the following day of entry. So, it is ok if you clear custom before 24:00 April 20.
