About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

72 hour transit, staying at friend's house, OK?

I am going to use the 72 hour transit rule. I have a flight in and a flight out (less than 72 hours later), and I am planning to stay with my friend who is living there. My friend is not a Chinese national. Do I need to register with the police or something? Any advice is appreciated

Hi, if you are eligible for the 72 hour free transit in mainland China, you are supposed to register with the police if you stay at your friend's house.
