About:Telephone & Cellphone in China

I use an android phone, what do I need to do to avoid roaming fees while in China?

Can I just buy a prepaid simcard and add it to my phone? Will I be able to call back to the states with no roaming?
How does it all work?

You are right. You can buy a Chinese sim card and call back to your country.
