About:China Family Reunion Visa

WORK Z---> FAMILY Q

Hi, I need some info. I have a Beijing issued Z visa that is going to expire in mid April. I just quit and we just moved to Chengdu with my Chinese wife (she is local Chengdunese), so right now I'm thinking about change it to family Q before the old one expires. For this do I need to leave China? Is it better to go HK for example and apply for tourist or family type then get the residence permit in Chengdu? Please help me, soon I need to find a solution, thanks!

Hi, it is possible to change it into family Q type, but better apply from local PSB in Chengdu, providing a guarantee of their living expenses and abiding by Chinese laws during your stay in China provided by your wife, Household Register book and her ID card.

Some people have been asked to leave, so you've got a 50% chance, don't waste time asking here, go to the PSB now, or Monday and in Hong Kong you will only be allowed to get a 6 month Q visa. RMB bank statement Y60,000 = 1 year, Y100,000 = 2 years = Y150,000 3 or 4 years. Owning a house or being married 5 years will help you reduce the money requirement.
