They are separated but they are not divorced, right? What if her wife still loves him deeply? I don't think it's a good idea to maintain a relationship with a married man. You perhaps don't know that you might have hurt his wife badly. If the man wants to be with you, he should cut the relationship (I mean divorce) with his wife.
