Beijing Shopping In Silk Market

Hi, I will be travelling there on the 31st Jan 2014, I called up personally to Silk Market & informed by them that they have closed 3 days during Chinese New Year 2013, so for 2014 CNY most likely will be close as well.
So I have check from people , like Pearl Market, Yashow, & big shopping mall all will be shut down for a least 3 days, may I know is it true?

Yes, it is true. That is the most important festival for Chinese people, so they will go home at least for three days during the festival. It is best to change your plan a little.

According to the routine of Silk Market from its official website, all the shops and stands still operate on Jan. 31st, 2014 and close on Feb. 1-2, 2014. Afterwards, shops will gradually reopen. Well, you may go to Wangfujing Pedestrian for shopping during CNY.
