I intend to travel from Kowloon to Shenzhen airport. What about the immigration controls?

I see there is a shuttle bus from Kowloon to SZ airport. Where do the immigration procedures take place(Kowloon?), and how much time should I factor in to catch a flight at 1300 from SZ?
