About:Beijing Weather in January

bullet train on january from Beijing to Shanghai

I will visit BJ on jan 13rd 2013 and will go to shanghai by bullet train. is it possible to take bullet train on snowy day?
because i will go back from shanghai to indonesia on january 20th.
whats the recommended atraction in BJ on january?

Yes, it is possible to take bullet trains on snowy days.
In Jan., the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heavens and the Hutong areas are highly recommended. If you do not go to the Great Wall, it is suggested to go there, but you need to take some thick clothes in case of the cold days.

It is OK to go, but you need to take your thick coat, because the wind may be heavy during that time. The bus 919 from Deshengmen Bus Station can take you to reach Badaling directly.

hi again.. may I know where is better to buy bullet train ticket to go to shanghai from BJ if I stay at 161 hotel (forbidden city area). and how about the time to buy the ticket, if I go to shanghai on 16 jan 2014, when should I buy the ticket? thank you

You can ask the hotel staff about the nearby Train Ticket Office, where you can buy that. or you can go to BJ Railway Station or South Station to but the tickets directly.

Geneally, you can buy the tickets around 12 days in advance.
