About:Visa on Arrival

Can a citizen of Chile get VOA traveling in the bullet train?

I'm a Chilean national traveling to Hong Kong and would like to visit Shenzhen for 2 days. Could you please confirm if I can apply for the 5-day Visa on Arrival (VOA) while entering Shenzhen through the bullet train? Or I need to go to Luohu Port or Huanggang? Thanks

Ignacio, taking a high speed train is not an eligible option. You have to visit border crossings you have mentioned because they have visa offices. Also, you are advised to arrive at the border crossing in the morning hours. By the way, Chilean citizens are eligible for Shenzhen 5 day VOA without any doubt. After your stay in Shenzhen you can return back to Hong Kong by taking any border crossing and using any mean of transport, high speed train included. Have a nice visit to Shenzhen.

Formally the citizens of India are eligible for Shenzhen 5 days visa, but they are currently regularly rejected. In other words, the recommendation is that you postpone your visit to Shenzhen or to obtain a Chinese visa in advance.
