About:Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport

I will have a 5 hour stopover at Baiyun airport on Monday the 12th August.

I would like to take advantage of the 72 hour no-visa transit arrangement, and leave the airport to see a bit of Gangzhou. I don't believe I will have time to catch the metro into town and back, but I was wondering if there is a shopping or eating district closer to the airport that I could explore in my limited time?

Hi, the best places for shopping and dining in GZ should be Shangxia Jiulu and Beijing Road. But both of them are a little far from the airport, so you have no enough time to travel. Besides, there is no good such places for shopping and dining nearby/within walking distance from the airport. Therefore, it is suggested to have a rest and shop inside.
