About:Visa Policy of China

Student-> work visa

I am currently in China on a X type one improving my Mandarin, however I have been offered a full time job in Beijing to begin in July. I meet all the requirements for a Z type (and my company has the relevant permission). Do I need to return to my home country (UK) in order to get it, or can I change from X to Z within China?

If you don't go back to your country to do it, then find a Chinese agency to help you. Some agencies are very capable of doing this.
