About:Chinese Embassies in Asia

I am a British Citizen living and working in Japan (I have an alien residency card).

Please could someone tell me how I go about getting a tourist visa to visit China? I want to go for a few days. I live in Kyushu so ideally would like to be able to get a visa in Fukuoka rather than Tokyo. Thanks.

Yes, you application should be submitted to Consulate General of China in Fukuoka. But you should apply though a local travel agency.
