Shanghai to Hangzhou by bus

I live in SH, very close to the local South train station. Should I try and buy my tickets online or go to the station in person to buy them? I want to go to Hangzhou on January 1st (in the morning)

As you are close to the train station, I suggest you go there and buy a ticket on your own. Kind suggestion is that train ticket in China can be bought ahead of ten days, so you can go there to get the ticket in advance.

Which is the best train station to leave from? Since I live close to Shanghai South, can I depart from there? Which station will arrive to in Hangzhou?
