Transit Visa - can it be multiple entry?

My boss is traveling to North Korea through Beijing and will need to enter China twice. Is that allowed with a transit visa? Or will he need to get a tourist visa?

Hi, does your boss is in transit only both times? if yes, visa is not required if he depart within 24 hours without leaving the airport.
